Job Overview

At CSS People, we are seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to join our team. This is a challenging role that involves managing various financial tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our company's finances.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing financial transactions, and providing financial reports to management.

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role
  • Purchase Ledger Management: The Financial Assistant will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, including processing invoices, statements, and credits.
  • Sales Ledger Management: They will also manage the sales ledger, including processing customer invoices, statements, and payments.
  • Cashbook Processing: The successful candidate will process all cash transactions, including receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Cashflow Forecasting: They will assist in preparing cash flow forecasts to ensure the company's liquidity.
  • Company Payroll: The Financial Assistant will be responsible for processing employee salaries, benefits, and tax deductions.
  • Pension Administration: They will administer the company pension scheme, including processing member contributions and benefit payments.
  • Fixed Asset Register Maintenance: The successful candidate will maintain the fixed asset register, including recording new assets, disposing of old assets, and performing regular valuations.
  • Journals, Accruals, and Prepayments: They will prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments as required.
