About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Helicopter Service Centre Maintenance Manager to join our team at Airbus Helicopters in Oxford. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our Part 145 activities and line maintenance at customer sites.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leadership and maintenance management, with a strong understanding of Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of aerospace quality and workmanship, and will work closely with our airworthiness team to facilitate production capacity planning.

As a key enabler for efficiency and competitiveness, you will be confident and capable in the use of Envision, SAP, and other digital tools. You will also be responsible for managing personnel planning, ensuring that personnel are appropriately qualified and that the personnel available are consistent with the capacity plan.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operational delivery of Part 145 maintenance services at our Oxford site and line maintenance activities at our Civil customer sites.
  • Overall responsible for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & People at the Oxford and Line maintenance bases.
  • Ensuring personnel planning is managed effectively, including managing shift patterns and ensuring personnel are appropriately qualified.
  • Liaising with airworthiness personnel to facilitate production capacity planning.
  • Liaising with third-party airworthiness organisations to ensure delivery of the required work scope.
  • Management of base maintenance supervisors and line maintenance managers to ensure adequate supervision levels and capacity planning.
  • Retain oversight of any required sub-contracting work, such as aircraft painting.
  • Ensuring engineer competency is assessed and recorded.
  • Ensuring AOS standards are set and maintained, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Liaison with Customer Support Managers and customers directly to ensure maintenance activities are completed on time, on cost, and on quality.
  • Ensuring staff are updated with regular briefings on company and technical information.
  • Provide guidance to AHUK commercial on the cost estimation of proposed aircraft maintenance work.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure compliance and assist with the response to non-compliance findings in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the AHUK Transformation project and drive through relevant projects and initiatives across Base and Line maintenance teams and hangars.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a Part 145 aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations.
  • Experienced rotary aircraft engineer with a solid background in commercial aviation.

Additional Requirements

  • Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
  • Applicants must meet any/all requirements of ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations.
  • Position based at Oxford Airport, UK.
  • Travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements.
