Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Prep Technician to join our team at Lookers Newcastle Renault. As a Prep Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that new and used vehicles are thoroughly inspected and prepared for delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, including checking for any signs of damage or missing components.
- Inspect vehicles for loose or misaligned items and repair them to a high standard.
- Fitting number plates and ensuring all mechanical and electrical components are in full working order.
- Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines and fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer.
- Vehicle health check and report any further work which may be required.
- Ensuring any Warranty work is completed and recorded accurately.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Motor industry experience.
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
- Self-motivated and able to support the team.
- Ambitious and eager to learn.
- Ability to work to and maintain the highest of standards.
