Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security and Governance Specialist to join our team at HSBC. As a key member of our Chief Technology Office Cloud Services team, you will be responsible for protecting our organization through effective technology risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a unified approach to technology risk management.
  • Lead high-level risk assessments related to the use of Cloud Services (AWS, GCP, Azure, and Ali Cloud) to identify and evaluate potential risks.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to integrate risk considerations into strategic technology planning and decision-making processes.
  • Establish and monitor key control indicators (KCIs) to track the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.
  • Oversee and enhance technology control frameworks to ensure they are effective, adaptable, and compliant with industry regulations and standards.
  • Mentor, guide, and lead a team of technology risk professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage complex internal and external technology audits, ensuring efficient communication and resolution of audit findings.

Requirements

  • Thorough experience in technology risk management related to Cloud Technologies.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical risk and control concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent development and mentoring.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and assess complex technology landscapes.
