Join Barclays as a Testing Engineer

As a key member of the Corporate Data Services (CDS) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality data services across the corporate bank. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct performance testing, engineering, and monitoring activities to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Assess system performance, document issues, and identify root causes of problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Creation and execution of automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.
  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
  • Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
