Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients with gastroenterology conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address areas for service improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- NMC registered Nurse with a recognized teaching qualification and experience at Band 5 Level in acute medicine.
- 2 years post-qualifying experience with demonstrable experience within gastroenterology and leadership and management skills.
- Recognized leadership course and experience implementing service improvement and evaluating effectiveness.
- IT literacy using a range of current and relevant packages, including retrieval of relevant investigation results, teaching and presentation skills, and clinically competent in acute care.
- Venepuncture and cannulation, ECG recording, CVAD, ILS, and blood transfusion skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of clinical audit and clinical effectiveness, fundamental nursing knowledge, and practical skills.
- LERN/RCA training and proficiency, knowledge of sickness management and appraisal process, and knowledge of budget management.
