Senior Competition Counsel

As a senior competition counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the Group's legal team on a range of competition and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on legal and strategic projects, providing UK and EU competition and regulatory law advice to stakeholders across the business.
  • Identify and develop ways competition and regulatory law can be used to drive strategic agenda.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, Ofcom, and competition authorities, on competition and regulatory law matters.
  • Lead teams in providing legal advice on contentious competition and regulatory matters, achieving the best business outcomes.
  • Manage and deliver against budget for competition and regulatory law cases, including litigation before the Courts.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of PQE, ideally E&W qualified.
  • Experience working on competition and regulatory matters.
  • Experience in supporting advisory and contentious competition/regulatory matters.
  • Previous direct or indirect supervision of junior members (ideal).
  • Happy to consider candidates with experience supporting competition matters from a regulator or in-house legal team.
