About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Farm Operations Manager to join our team at WPO. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large solar farm in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the solar farm, including maintenance and repairs.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors, landlords, and grid operators.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and planning requirements.
- Monitor and report on site activities, including maintenance schedules, contractor performance, and site inspections.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve site efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the WPO HSEQ team to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Manage site activities, including inductions, training, and record-keeping.
- Ensure the solar farm remains compliant with all required planning conditions, including landscape and ecological management plans.
- Recommend and manage specialist services on site, such as civils or ecological works.
Requirements
- 3+ years of direct experience working in UK solar farm operations or construction.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology and SCADA data.
- Previous experience with battery storage facilities is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to review, understand, and challenge legal contracts.
- Excellent organisation skills, working to strict deadlines.
- Attention to detail, proactivity in identifying areas of continuous improvement for the business.

- A competitive salary of £40,000.00-£47,000.00 per year.
