The Health and Safety Manager will lead the development and implementation of Hozelock's overall Health and Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practices. This role will also drive sustainability initiatives, promoting environmentally friendly practices and reducing the company's environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety plan, monitoring progress and updating the plan as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and industry standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Lead by example, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Health and Safety and sustainability initiatives.
- Provide training and support to employees on Health and Safety and sustainability practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability initiatives and improve environmental performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science or Health and Safety.
- Proven experience in Health and Safety and sustainability, with a strong track record of compliance and improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
