About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in safety engineering and risk management, with a strong understanding of legislative requirements and industry standards. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate the development of safety reports and safety cases for high-profile projects.

In addition, you will support periodic safety reviews, manage a team of safety assurance engineers, and implement an effective engineering safety management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Report Development: Create comprehensive safety reports that meet legislative requirements and industry standards
  • Safety Case Management: Oversee the development of safety cases for high-profile projects
  • Safety Reviews: Support regular safety reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of safety assurance engineers on various projects
  • Engineering Safety Management: Implement and maintain an effective engineering safety management lifecycle
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering-related subject
  • Significant experience in safety engineering or safety assurance
  • Familiarity with the railway industry safety regime
  • Excellent skills in risk assessments and management
