About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior LNG Derivatives Trader to join our team at Shell. As a key member of our trading team, you will be responsible for executing trades, managing risk, and developing proprietary trading strategies to generate value for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute trades to service requests from other Shell trading desks for derivatives and provide quality execution of trades.
  • Advise Shell LNG Trading desks on risk management of total Shell price exposure.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trading counterparties, including internal and external counterparts and brokers.
  • Progress and drive desk ambitions in quantitative research and options management.
  • Onboard new instruments, internal customers, and external counterparties.
  • Support development of the next generation of financial traders at Shell.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulations, Governance, Risk, and Assurance policies.
Requirements
  • Significant years of experience in derivatives trading with a track record of value generation in proprietary trading.
  • Expert knowledge in risk management tools and techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of derivatives markets, fundamental and technical analysis.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory rules and policies with a good compliance track record.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with no errors.
  • High numeracy with good analytical capability.
  • Very good communication and relationship management skills.
  • Good to expert product knowledge in at least one of the following instruments: JKM, Crude, European Gas, US Gas.
  • Good understanding of option pricing and trading. Quantitative background and expert knowledge a strong plus.
  • Derivatives execution experience with strong familiarity with ETRMs (ENDUR/Aligne/DEX) a strong plus.
