We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Careers Guidance Specialist to join our team at Educators Wales. As a Careers Guidance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing essential careers guidance and coaching services to young people and adults across Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a wide range of people, including those who are both long and short-term unemployed, economically inactive, people with health and disability barriers, and those seeking to change their careers.

As part of our Working Wales programme delivery, you will work in partnership with local and national organisations, including training providers, jobcentre plus, prisons, youth offending teams, employers, and other professional organisations to support your customers into education, training, and sustained employment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support and delivering interactive group sessions to help individuals make informed career decisions
  • Working with a range of tools and skills, including digital technologies, to support the work you do with clients
  • Establishing effective relationships with teachers, parents, and other learning providers to ensure that young people receive the best possible guidance and support

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £30,708 - £35,533 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent terms and conditions.

If you have a background in education or training, or experience working with diverse client groups, we would particularly welcome your application. You should also be educated to degree level or equivalent standard and hold a QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (or equivalent).
