Teaching Personnel - Shaping Bright Futures in Education

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Folkestone. As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with potential KS5 teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery: Plan and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring students receive a high-quality education in Mathematics.
  • Student Support: Support and guide students of varying abilities to achieve their learning goals, providing additional support where necessary.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment, promoting a love of learning in students.
  • Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support student success.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3, KS4) – KS5 experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment: Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, with a proactive and collaborative approach to teaching.
