Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Citizens Advice Carlisle and Eden. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy customer-facing environment, providing administrative support and IT assistance to volunteers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm welcome to clients, visitors, and telephone callers, ensuring a prompt and courteous response to their queries.
  • Register new clients, answer basic questions, and direct visitors/callers to relevant departments or external organizations as needed.
  • Respond promptly to email and online enquiries from clients and third parties, using language interpreter support when required.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Coordinate the regular ordering of stationery and office supplies.
  • Support the induction, training, and day-to-day support of volunteers and paid staff within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in IT, with the ability to use various content management and software applications (training provided if necessary).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring efficient administration systems.
  • Willingsness to undertake online and in-person training as required.

Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
