Graduate Cover Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Portsmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in education and want to gain hands-on experience in a classroom environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school, supervising classes during teacher absences, and ensuring students remain focused on their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain on task
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support teachers where required
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Act as a role model and build rapport with students
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in any subject
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about working with young people and supporting their education
  • Be confident in managing groups of students
  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a teaching career
