Job Details

The successful candidate will be working in a fantastic primary school based in the Colchester area, providing dedicated support for children with special educational needs. This role involves working closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, monitoring pupils' progress, and intervening when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of activities for children with special educational needs
  • Monitor pupils' progress and provide relevant feedback to the classroom teacher
  • Intervene when necessary to support children's learning and well-being
  • Perform general teaching assistant duties as required

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for working with young, vulnerable people
  • Empathetic and kind with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • Previous experience working with SEN is highly beneficial
