Job Title: Chief Technology Officer - Software Engineering Lead

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our software engineering team in developing and delivering innovative fleet management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the development of our cloud-based back office optimization, planning, and reporting solution
* Collaborate with the product management team to develop new products and enhance existing ones
* Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to ensure the continuous evolution and improvement of our software solutions and engineering practices
* Lead architecture reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality standards in software development

Requirements:

* Proven track record of motivating and managing SaaS software engineering teams
* Ability to analyze software engineering performance and suggest improvements
* Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Unix/Linux CLI, React Native, and backend technologies such as PHP, Python, C#, and SQL/database
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate team performance, project plans, and associated milestones to the Board of Directors

Location: This role can be based at home or from our office in Edinburgh, although we request that the successful candidate have a regular presence in our Edinburgh office for the first month.
