Senior Nursery Room Leader Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Nursery Room Leader to join our client's growing Nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 childcare related qualification and excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks.

About the Role

The Senior Nursery Room Leader will be responsible for providing high quality care at all times, acting as a Key person to a number of children and maintaining regular contact with parents. They will also ensure that the Room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations, plan daily activities in line with the EYFS curriculum, and carry out supervisions and evaluations.

About the Nursery

Our client provides a warm and happy environment where children are the top priority. The purpose-built nursery has been designed to allow children to spend lots of time outside and learn through play.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality care at all times
  • Act as a Key person to a number of children and maintain regular contact with parents
  • Ensure that the Room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations
  • Plan daily activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Carry out supervisions and evaluations
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure they are filed accordingly
  • Act as a mentor and provide leadership to junior members of staff
  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager when needed
  • Ensure that the Room and Nursery has good staffing levels and arrange cover when needed
