Construction Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our dynamic team at M Young Scaffolding Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding systems, ensuring all structures are level, plumb, and secure before use.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Construct and dismantle scaffolding structures, adhering to specifications and safety regulations.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble scaffolding components, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for safety compliance and maintenance needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Assist in the fabrication of custom scaffolding solutions as required, working closely with the design team to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with carpentry, electrical work, masonry, painting, or welding is advantageous.
- Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights, with a commitment to safety and well-being.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid construction-related qualification or certification is desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and practices at all times, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
