About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at YHA South Downs. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean and comfortable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare bedrooms between guest departures and arrivals, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all shower and toilet areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Keep the hostel reception and social areas clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
  • Efficiently and effectively undertake housekeeping tasks, maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Comply with YHA requirements for the use and storage of cleaning products, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
  • Report any faults or damage to a member of the hostel management team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sort and distribute used and unused linen, playing a key role in our guests' comfort.
