Wilkins Solicitors LLP, a reputable and well-established law firm, is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our team in Aylesbury.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services to clients on a full range of private client matters, including:

  • Wills and inheritance tax planning
  • Trusts and probate
  • Powers of attorney and court of protection
  • Elderly client matters

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our Private Client department to provide exceptional client service, ensure effective departmental operations, and promote a professional image of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of private client matters
  • Undertake fee-earning work, working independently and as part of a team
  • Provide profitable contributions to the department
  • Maintain high standards in client work processing, including professional standards and client care
  • Attend to clients' instructions and provide advice on course of action
  • Execute client instructions efficiently and timely
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of company and client documentation
  • Maintain good professional relationships with external institutions and organizations
  • Comply with firm policies and assist partners in achieving smooth work output
  • Liaise with the Head of Department and other staff for adequate departmental cover
  • Achieve agreed financial targets, including fee income and chargeable hours
  • Financial control of own matters, including cash flow management
Requirements:
  • 3+ years PQE
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive qualification
