Materials Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planning Manager to join our team at Russell Taylor Group Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership to both planning and commercial teams to drive business growth and improvement.
- Lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure accurate capacity plans and delivery of high-level presentations to top management.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Repair, Operations, and Engineering teams to create accurate capacity plans that reflect demand and resource availability.
- Develop a best practice sharing mentality between teams, engaging with related sites and embracing ongoing enhancement.
- Act as a material escalation point, dealing with supply chain and functional business connections both internally and externally.
- Conduct sales forecasting based on capacity, client orderbooks, and arrears recovery.
- Monitor throughput and plan compliance, reporting on limitations and recuperation.
- Interact with Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, MRO, Shipping, and Assembly to ensure deliveries are met.
- Review orderbook changes and challenge any changes in the demand profile with relevant customers.
- 2-3 years of management experience.
- Degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience working within a planning and/or customer-facing role.
- 2-3 years of management experience, preferably within an aerospace manufacturer.
- Strong leadership skills to overcome challenges and achieve results.
- Strong mathematical ability, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong MS Office and ERP system understanding.
