Culinary Team Member

A highly motivated and experienced individual is sought to take on the role of Assistant Cook within our culinary team at Stirling Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of food preparation and service, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
This involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and providing excellent customer service to our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook food to a high standard, meeting the expectations of our residents and visitors.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to queries and concerns.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive kitchen environment.
- An annual salary of £27,500 per annum, with opportunities for progression and professional development.
- Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid office/work from home options, to support work-life balance.
- Biennial incremental progression until top of pay scale reached, recognizing hard work and dedication.
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, providing a secure financial future.
- Up to 6 months full sick pay and 6 months half pay dependent on length of service, ensuring continued income during periods of absence.

Experience in catering is essential, and the ability to work well under pressure is crucial. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
