About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our sustainable infrastructure development group, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering innovative transportation projects that promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

As a Senior Civil Engineer at Ramboll, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary design teams and collaborating with clients to develop bespoke solutions that meet their needs while minimizing environmental impact. Your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation, will be essential in creating detailed designs and models that facilitate efficient project delivery.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and project management skills, enabling you to effectively coordinate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multidisciplinary design teams in the development of transportation projects, ensuring they align with our company's values and sustainability principles.

  • Create detailed designs and models using CAD software, taking into account site-specific constraints and stakeholder requirements.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure timely completion, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Foster effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients through regular progress updates, workshops, and review meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance project deliverables and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD or MicroStation, and familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning and professional development, with a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices.
