Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of patient care, working within your competence and keeping up to date with relevant training.
  • Support administrative functions, maintaining medical stores, ordering stock, and resupplying clinical areas.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, and individualized patient care, prioritizing your workload and ensuring effective time management strategies.
  • Carry out patient health checks, including health screening and measurements, and recording previous medical history, family history, and current medications.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records to relevant professional standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet patient needs
  • Flexibility to provide cross-cover at other locations as required
