Dyslexia Specialist Assistant

We are seeking a Dyslexia Specialist Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding Secondary School in Brent. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal growth of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one or group support to students with Dyslexia, using your knowledge and skills to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans for students with Dyslexia
- Use evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students' literacy and numeracy skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address areas of concern related to students' progress and well-being

Your Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Dyslexia Specialist Assistant with a strong track record of supporting students with Dyslexia. You should have a degree in Education or a related field, as well as significant experience working with students with special educational needs. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be committed to delivering high-quality support to our students.
