Planning Adviser

We're seeking a skilled Planning Adviser to join our team in York. As a key member of our consultancy, you'll provide expert planning advice and support to colleagues across the region and country. Your role will involve working on diverse projects, from major infrastructure developments to the sensitive conservation of historic buildings. You'll have the opportunity to engage with planners, local authorities, and statutory consultees, and contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional planning advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders
Work on a range of projects, including infrastructure developments, conservation projects, and planning policy initiatives
Engage with planners, local authorities, and statutory consultees to ensure effective collaboration and communication
Contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies that support the Trust's goals and objectives
Requirements
We're looking for a qualified planner with a strong understanding of planning legislation and policy. You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. You'll also have a keen eye for detail and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
