Work Environment

You will join a recently created Tractebel entity with ambitious goals and exceptional projects. Our entity supports New Build projects localized in the UK, promoting Tractebel as a key player in the nuclear business.

The Consortium SICOS, composed of Tractebel, Egis, and Setec, is responsible for the design and detailing of the reinforced concrete structures of the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant, one of the world's largest construction projects.

Job Profile

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to work on the design and construction of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant.

As part of the Joint Design Office, your responsibilities will include managing and treating site change requests, respecting design intent, project specifications, and deadlines. You will support the Civil Team in optimizing the design received from the Back Office.

  • Manage civil works contractor queries related to design packages;
  • Assess Field Change Requests from the site and their feasibility;
  • Coordinate with the drafting team to implement design modifications in 3D models and 2D drawings;
  • Non-Conformance Reports from the civil works contractor and assess proposed repair solutions;
  • Quick assessments on reinforcement concrete issues;
  • Communicate with the back-office team as necessary;

Essential Experience

  • Civil or Structural Engineering experience with at least 3 years of proven experience in the field;
  • Reinforced concrete calculation and design experience;
  • Nuclear or complex industrial project experience;
  • Reinforced concrete detailing experience;
  • Self-motivation towards improving personal performance and generating innovative outcomes;
