About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Committee Member and Scrutiny Officer. As a key member of our Council, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation and publication of agendas and decisions, as well as minute-taking for various meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide procedural advice to ensure meetings are legally compliant
  • Assist the Committee, Member and Scrutiny Manager in coordinating the Scrutiny Work Programme
  • Work closely with elected members and senior officers to provide professional advice and administrative support
  • Implement the member training/induction programme
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of organizational skills, with the ability to identify and adapt to changing priorities while working to key deadlines. You will also need to have comprehensive IT literacy skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand and apply procedure rules.
