Defence Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Defence Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our personnel selection process, you will be responsible for testing and programming new and existing products according to customer specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Test and programming of new and existing products using bench top test equipment, programming software, and customer supplied test procedures and build instructions.
- Building assemblies following customer supplied work instructions or drawings.
- Setup and strip down of ATE test racks for various board types.
- Yield measurement, recording and analysis.
- Monitor and identify failure modes and feedback possible solutions to production supervisor, management and/or engineering.
- Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy.
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
- Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Hand soldering and use of fine tools and microscopes.
- Knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes.
- Computer literate.
- Previous experience of production testing and fault finding, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a PCB Testing environment.
- Use and experience of test equipment associated with RF electronics such as spectrum and network analysers.
- Electronics qualification or equivalent.
