We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Advanced Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at Fairfield Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency services.
Key Responsibilities- Work clinical shifts in the Emergency Department, providing expert care to patients and supporting the Nurse Consultant and Senior ACP Development Lead with the day-to-day management of the Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
- Support the development of emergency care within the department, working closely with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Nurse to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Represent the ACP workforce and strategy across the Division to Senior Leaders within the Care Organisation.
- Current Registration with NMC/HCPC
- MSC qualification in Advanced Practice
- Non-medical prescriber
- Substantial years post-registration in advanced practice
- Evidence of driving leading-edge clinical practice supported by advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and skills
- Portfolio of evidence demonstrating the 4 pillars of advanced practice - clinical leadership, education, research/audit/service development achievements
- Effective communicator - able to communicate complex and sensitive information
- Evidence of effective people management and leadership skills
- RCEM accreditation or equivalent experience
- Advanced life support provider
- Advanced paediatric life support provider
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and use judgement and initiative where appropriate
- Ability to lead a team and oversee care and treatment of a cohort of patients within the service
- Ability to provide clinical supervision to junior members of the team
- Teaching experience
- Computer literate in both data entry and communicating via IT - emails and reports
