Vehicle Dynamics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Vehicle Customer Performance Group, you will be responsible for proposing and developing new vehicle performance concepts and supporting the design of high-performance customer vehicles.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work collaboratively within our Vehicle Customer Performance Group and Design Office, as well as with external customers, to support vehicle design, identify performance limitations and opportunities, and utilize and contribute to the advancement of existing analysis and simulation technologies.
Responsibilities
- To propose and develop new vehicle performance concepts and support the design of high-performance customer vehicles.
- To support customers using appropriate simulation tools Driver in Loop and offline simulations.
- To develop hi-fidelity vehicle models in-line with the customer simulation strategy, to continually improve the simulation capabilities.
- To contribute to the continuous development of the simulation and modelling tools Driver in Loop and offline simulations - advancing the customers ability to identify and develop holistic vehicle performance.
- To improve and develop new methodologies for performance analysis to support objective technical decision making.
Requirements
- A strong academic background, with a Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering Degree (2:1 minimum grade) or similar.
- Experience with simulation and vehicle dynamics in Formula One or another top-level motorsport category.
- An appreciation of vehicle dynamics theory, efficient modeling & coding practices.
- Experience using Matlab; experience with multi-body software (Dymola as an example) will be a plus.
- The ability to work effectively in small, focused teams towards tight deadlines.
- A highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills.
