About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is a senior nursing post that combines clinical, educational, audit, research, and managerial duties.

As a Senior Clinical Nurse Lead, you will provide specialist holistic support to adults with life-limiting illness and those approaching end-of-life within the acute setting. You will work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the continued development of our high-quality service.

The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience and has worked in palliative care. They will be able to promote evidence-based care and influence clinical decisions regarding the care of patients with palliative and end-of-life care needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist holistic support to adults with life-limiting illness and those approaching end-of-life
  • Working collaboratively with the community, local hospices, and the Integrated Care Systems on a holistic, cross-boundary approach
