About the Role

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position is a key opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the success of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency of our production facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain plant equipment during production shifts, responding to any issues that arise.
  2. Conduct regular maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance schedules, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  4. Implement health and safety protocols to protect personnel and assets, including risk assessments for high-risk systems.
  5. Participate in engineering projects and provide suggestions for process enhancements.
  6. Ensure adequate staffing levels by covering shifts as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in mechanical maintenance, including preventive and reactive work.
  • Familiarity with welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics would be advantageous.
  • Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
