Job Title: English Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at Catch22. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 students in our alternative education provision in Norwich.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English language and literature to students in small groups, with a maximum of 8 students per class.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of students with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that meet curriculum and inspection requirements.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • A recognized higher qualification in English or a related field.
  • Significant experience of teaching English language and literature to students with complex needs.
  • Excellent behavior management skills and the ability to work with students who have challenging behaviors.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and its application in the classroom.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • A competitive salary of £24,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience.
