Job Description

The Registered Manager will be responsible for managing a 5-bed service providing care to children and young people with mild learning disabilities and associated mental health needs. The role involves leading the staff team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment that promotes assessment, care, control, education, and health while nurturing emotional and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the home in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards.
  • Hold responsibility for all aspects of the management of the home.
  • Liaise constructively with professionals and families, manage challenging situations, and lead a team to provide inspirational care tailored to individual needs.
Requirements
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete Level 5 within 2 years).
  • At least 2 years' experience relevant to residential care in the last 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards, child protection procedures, and equal opportunities policies.
