Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Site Engineer

Carrington West is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join a leading Highways contractor on a key infrastructure scheme near Guildford.

This freelance position is ideal for a professional looking to apply their expertise in civil engineering, particularly in s278 works, kerbing, and drainage.

  • Manage s278 works, including road alignments, junction improvements, and other highway alterations.
  • Supervise kerbing and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Conduct setting out and surveying activities, providing accurate measurements and levels.
  • Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, as-builts, and quality assurance documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within highways or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of s278 agreements, kerbing, and drainage works.
  • Proficient in setting out using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
  • CSCS card is essential; SMSTS/SSSTS, and NRSWA is desirable.
