Clinical Opportunities in Acute Hospital Setting

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic doctor to join our dynamic team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor looking to expand their clinical skills and gain exposure in a large, supportive acute hospital with great teaching opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service, driving a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within the specialty.
- Take referrals from the emergency department and provide medical opinions for patients in ED, including the resuscitation bay.
- Review patients on AMU and provide support for Resident Doctors working on AMU, including carrying out and supervising bedside procedures.
- Assess patients in an Ambulatory Emergency Care setting and take part in the general medical registrar rota, including weekend and night shifts.
- Ensure discharge summaries are completed in a timely manner and communicate with GPs and other clinical colleagues as required.
- Maintain continued professional development and attend educational and multidisciplinary sessions.
- Teach medical students, Core doctors, and Foundation doctors and comply with all local policies, including dress code, annual, and study leave.

**Requirements:**
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Primary medical qualification recognised by the GMC.
- ALS and MRCP.
- Completion of internal medicine stage 1 training or equivalent.
- NHS experience essential.
