As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high standards of teaching and learning to pupils, while building relationships of mutual trust. Your ability to support a class and teacher, contributing to making learning an enjoyable and meaningful process, will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children
  • Support the school staff to facilitate the active participation of children in the academic and social activities of a school
  • Contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils
  • To implement the daily routine
  • When directed, plan and implement age-appropriate activities, in conjunction with other staff
  • Assisting children in personal/intimate care
  • Regularly evaluate children's development and keep records as appropriate, as directed by the teacher
  • Liaise with parents/carers of children, only when directed by a school's class teacher
  • Uphold the Ripple Education ethos and all safeguarding requirements, including ensuring that children are supervised at all times
  • To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children at each stage of development

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
  • Experience of working in a primary school
