Job Title: Cost Management Specialist

Job Summary:

The Cost Management Specialist role purpose is to provide cost management to the business on all projects to ensure value for money for both the customer and Clarke Telecom. The role has a responsibility to ensure maximum value at the lowest possible risk to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial activities involved for specific assigned projects from inception to completion, including tendering/Contract sum production, the monitoring of costs and timely invoicing to the client
  • Liaising with the client regarding receipting schedules/valuations, costing of variations during the works and production of Final accounts, in accordance with the contract and the project
  • Negotiation and management of existing subcontractors and if required sourcing new subcontractors whilst liaising with the project /operational teams
  • Working on Clarke Telecoms main data bases – Site Tracker and Navision, whilst having a good understanding excel and formulas
  • Liaising with the Site Delivery managers/Project managers to appoint relevant sub-contractors for each project and within defined budgets
  • Production and agreement of Contract sums and Final accounts. The production of cost/value analysis reports for the projects on a monthly basis during the whole life of the project
  • Having an understanding and work towards/exceed on delivering projects with the budget turnover and margin set out in the annual budget

Requirements:

  • Higher level qualifications in a numerate subject
  • Experience of working in a commercial/build environment
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Good communication skills (internal external)

  • Good IT Skills High level with Excel (Office Suite)
