Job Role
As a Procurement Contracts Manager at The People Co. / Supply Jobs, you will be responsible for managing our supply base and delivering our supply chain strategy. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director and working closely with other company departments, you will play a key role in implementing stock agreements and monitoring their performance.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage our supply base, ensuring alignment with Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation requirements.
  2. Implement and manage our Supplier Management Framework, supporting the Supply Chain Director with contract negotiations.
  3. Source products, materials, and select suppliers, ensuring alignment with Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation requirements.
  4. Monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed measures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Identify and exploit commercial opportunities through skilled negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  6. Ensure compliance with procurement processes and legal requirements, including contract management and risk mitigation.
  7. Contract indirect expenditure, including Port contracts, PPE, Feed & Waste Management.
  8. Lead cross-functional supply chain projects, building knowledge on our materials and supplier market insights.
  9. Provide monthly reporting to the business on Supply Chain Activities and KPIs.

Personal Profile

  1. 2-3 years of experience in a Buyer or Procurement Manager role, within the UK food industry.
  2. Good understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
  3. Good project management skills.
