Academic Instructor of Photography

HSDC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Lecturer/Teacher of Photography and Graphic Communication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure outstanding success and progression. Experience of A level Photography teaching is essential, while experience of Graphic Communication is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

• Planning and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure excellent attendance, retention, and achievement.
• Delivering formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials, and student assessment.
• Recording, sharing, and monitoring student progress using College information systems.
• Preparing learning plans, schemes of work, and undertaking relevant administration.
• Attending parents' evenings, marketing, and promotional events.

• Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
• High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area.
• At least 2 years' experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students.
• Degree in relevant subject.
