Ecology Team Leader Position - Environmental Expertise

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecology Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of ecologists to deliver high-quality projects.

Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing technical strategies to support our clients' projects, while ensuring the highest level of quality and excellence in all aspects of your work.

You will have a proven track record of success in staff management, project management, and technical leadership, with a strong passion for mentoring and developing individuals as they progress their careers.

In this role, you will also be expected to produce high-quality tenders, develop and implement training programs, and engage with other disciplines within WSP to expand awareness and engagement with our Scotland ecology teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement technical strategies to support clients' projects
  2. Lead and manage a team of ecologists to deliver high-quality projects
  3. Produce high-quality tenders in support of client projects
  4. Develop and implement training programs for junior team members
  5. Liaise with other disciplines within WSP to expand awareness and engagement with our Scotland ecology teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline (e.g., ecology, environmental science)
  • Experience of staff management and technical leadership
  • A proven track record of success in project management and delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
