This permanent Data Science role offers a wide variety of data sets to analyse and projects to be involved with.


The Data Science team will have access to a state-of-the-art Innovation Lab in Cambridge, where the team will be based.


As a member of our Innovation team, you will work closely on data experiments, projects, and solution builds across multiple business units and industries.


The Director of AI and Data Science will oversee your work, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.


Responsibilities will include engaging with data owners to identify analysis opportunities, mining and analysing data to drive optimization, and conducting end-to-end analysis.


You will also develop and present demonstrations and prototypes to communicate data analysis opportunities.


A strong portfolio of tools and technologies is essential, as well as a willingness to continually review and assess their efficiency and accuracy.


Additionally, you will be responsible for advising the business on metrics and data collection, and engaging with stakeholders to effectively communicate data insights.


Predictive modelling skills are also highly valued, as is the ability to use data to increase and optimize business outcomes.


To be successful in this role, you will need a strong educational background in mathematics, computer science, or engineering, as well as relevant postgraduate qualifications.


A strong understanding of statistical analysis, scripting skills in Python, and knowledge of ETL techniques and tools are also essential.


Experience in analysing both structured and unstructured data is highly valued, as is a proven ability to take initiative in a data analysis role.


Excellent communication and presentation skills are also required, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders.
