About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Business Partner Assistant to join our team at St. James's Place. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Business Partner on all matters relating to financial management and reporting of management expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports outlining the Division's expenditure to enable the business to manage its costs in line with agreed budgets.
  • Complete month-end activities, including accruals and prepayments, understanding of variances, and monitoring of opportunities and vulnerabilities, and the production of controls and reconciliations in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Part-qualified accountant or AAT qualified or equivalent by experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP, expense management systems, TBs, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Ability to provide financial and numerical data, understanding variances, and the ability to articulate those variances to Director-level non-finance managers, highlighting any action to be taken.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player, supporting the team and the Expense Business Partner to achieve their wider goals and recognizing when escalation is required.
