Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Safety & Environmental Engineering to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of safety and environmental engineering strategies and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and implementation of safety and environmental engineering strategies and policies
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members

Requirements:

  • Experience in safety and environmental engineering, with a focus on fire and explosion safety
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
