About Fleet Tutors

We are a leading provider of alternative and supplementary education to schools and local authorities, supporting children from all backgrounds through one-to-one and tailored small group tuition programmes.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Tutor to provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire and teach.
  • Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.
