Job Details

Network Open is seeking a skilled Optical Assistant to join their team in Reading, Berkshire. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the optometrist and carrying out dispensing visits to patients in care homes and their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the optometrist in dispensing visits to patients in care homes and their own homes.
  • Carry out dispensing visits independently, using your skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
  • Work closely with the optometrist to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
  • Provide empathetic and sympathetic support to patients, many of whom are elderly and may be unwell.

Requirements:

  • Confident driver with a full driving licence for at least 2 years.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
