We are recruiting a Community Crisis Responder to join our team in delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in need. As a vital part of our service, you will provide critical assistance in emergency situations and help maintain people's safety and well-being.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with local authorities to deliver emergency out-of-hours services, customer support, and out-of-hours services for Lewisham Borough Council. This involves attending homes, providing first aid when necessary, and ensuring that people's homes are left secure after visits.

You will work flexible shift patterns, including overnight, weekends, and bank holidays, and be required to adapt to changing circumstances. We value professionals who are empathetic, proactive, and able to work independently.

Main Responsibilities
  • To deliver emergency out-of-hours services, customer support, and out-of-hours services for Lewisham Borough Council.
  • To attend homes, provide first aid when necessary, and ensure that people's homes are left secure after visits.
  • To work shift patterns, including overnight, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • To install equipment in people's homes, collect information, and complete necessary paperwork.
Requirements
  • Experience of working shifts and adapting to flexible hours.
  • Ability to handle distressed, irate, or aggressive individuals in a calm and tactful manner.
  • Previous experience in Telecare or call handling roles or working with older or vulnerable people.

Salary: £18,640 - £23,334 per annum (based on 40 hours per week)
