Retail Team Leader – Full Time, 39 hours

We are seeking to appoint a new retail team leader for our establishment. This is a permanent full-time role, comprising 39 hours per week across various shifts, 5 days out of 7.

Please be aware that for full-time roles, we typically require full flexibility in your availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly wage is set at £12.50, ensuring a minimum of 39 hours of work weekly. This guarantees a weekly income of at least £487, with opportunities for additional earnings through overtime.

As a retail team leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being a vital member of the management team, assisting the manager in guiding the team to operate an effective store and deliver exceptional service to our clientele.
  • Assuming full responsibility for store operations in the manager's absence, ensuring customer satisfaction, efficient handling of deliveries, and adherence to store routines to maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Managing store opening and closing procedures, cash handling, order placements, and the development of your team of retail assistants.
  • Overseeing the management of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A friendly, positive, and diligent work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Trustworthiness and reliability, as you will play a crucial role in a small team that relies on your commitment to excellence.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or managerial role within retail or similar sectors is advantageous, but we welcome applications from those eager to embark on their retail management journey.
